A little scoop of my Wednesday look

Hi EveryoneJ
How are you? I hope you are having a good week so far! For me it’s not the star one as I’ve been overwhelmed by work, as usual, hence no time for keeping my blog up to date! Anyway I won’t give up on it as it would mean I am giving up on you my lovely readers. I'll do my best to keep in touch with you guysJ
The photos below were taken this morning before I left for work so to keep you in the loop. A few words about the look:
It’s important for me to keep my ‘office’ style in a little bit classic and comfy tone because often I’m on the run between meetings and my office.
I often struggle to find the perfect pair of trousers to suit every occasion. The one I was wearing today is from Zara and I really like this a bit boyish cut. They have the perfect length of legs and they come slightly higher above the waist! I’ve matched them with an oversized jumper to keep me warm and ‘hanged on’  the trench coat over the shoulders to feel and to make the whole look more unofficial.  Hope you like it!

Take care!

Showtime!

I am currently busy working on one of my very special events ! In a few weeks time I am flying to Edinburgh in Scotland to organize a fancy ball for around 350 people and all will be followed by an auction lots worth thousands of pounds. Believe it or not but it takes almost 9 months of hard work to organize such an event as there is a lot to think of and the audience is VERY demanding!
It’s a high profile event and there is very strict dress code to follow. Black and smart is the code! And although there is still plenty of time to this event I am being rather impatient and that’s why I began playing with all my little black dresses even today. I also have to make sure that I am not only  going to look good there but I must dress smart  to not disrespect all the people of good will who make generous donations and who also paid hundreds of pounds for the table at the event to help us raise even more vital funds for the charity  and at the same time for all the children who need us!
Yes, my Dears this is going to be a Showtime J and I promise to post a few pics from the event itself after it happens to give you the feeling of what it all is about. And today please have a little taster of what is my thought of the dress for this special day!

Keeping warm

Hi guys, hope you are having great weekend! Mine is a very lazy again and well deserved after another terribly busy week.
It’s quite busy time in my life at that moment and so much is going on that I struggle to keep my blog up to date and post regularly but I promised to stay in touch with you guys at least once a week and of course I will be reading my favorite blogs and stay in touch with my regular readers.
I’ve made the decision to devote most of my time to couple of projects and my work and it very often take my weekends time as well. I therefore need to prioritized the most important things for me and stick to it and my job career is one of themJ. I believe that you are with me on this one and that you will understand me J
Anyway, the outfit I’m showing you today is rather casual and as you’ve noticed, if you follow my blog, this is the style I feel most comfortable in. This look is simple and  plain and I don’t feel it needs explaining. It’s the kind of outfit you can put at any day of autumn  and you cannot go wrong wearing it at this time of year.

Show me your bag...

…and I will tell who you are ;)
This morning when I was switching my bags I noticed how many things I’m carrying with me in there every day . On my way to work I was discretely looking at the other women’s bags, hoping that I will see what they have inside. I know that it may sound creepy, but this is my pure curiosity-I’d love to know what other girls carry in their bags or a makeup bags-what kind of cosmetics or what book they read now and actually I have no idea what I need these information for but it could be kind of exciting to see how similar or how different we are judging by the content of our bags.
Although I didn't manage to make others bags transparent (don't have the fairy skills yet;)) I got this idea to share with you what's inside of mine.
The first thing I have to say is that my bag is rather heavy one and sometimes I feel like it's build of metal than leather.
The bag on my pictures comes from Mulberry and is my favorite one. I just love the simplicity of the cut, the softness of the leather and the overall look of it.

And here is the stuff it's usually packed with…
-book or two-at the moment I’m going through reading of Franz Kafka novels
-always a bottle of mineral water

-fruit-preferably banana or apple or something I don't have to peel off

-perfumes: I try to carefully choose the scent I’m wearing on me and it always depends on the weather outside, the season, time of the day or my mood. But because the weather here in London is so unpredictable I always have something for almost any occasion- just in case.

-ballet pumps (from Zara this time)-  I very often, literally, run from one part of London to another and wearing the heels isn't always the best choice to move swiftly

-Mulberry cotton bag-for my shoes as I would never put my dirty shoes into my bag between the rest of the things, especially food

-purse-with hardly any cash inside, just a few coppers haha as I don’t like to carry too much cash on me, I am fan of plastic cards. In London you can pay by card for pretty much anything, everywhere and any amount free of charge, even if it is a bread roll for 37 pence or so J
-umbrella-always! This is 'must have' item if you live in UK. I used to carry sun glasses as well which is another of these 'must have' things here in London but as I don't wear lenses anymore I didn't think shades are particularly handy item for me
-paper tissues and painkillers :)

-cotton shopping bag-I don’t like plastic bags as I’m one of the eco friendly ones! The big plus is that normally cotton bags are strong and solid so you can pack them with tones of stuff. And I've got them free in any number from the shoppers and the suppliers at the venues

-calculator-always in my bag as I have to keep an eye on the numbers when it comes to the cash for Kids

-house keys attached to my Event keyring
-glasses  cover box
-couple of memory sticks-for backing up some of the important documents
-my office pass
-pocket calendar
-mentos 'The freshmaker' drops ;)
-couple of pens
-3 different lip balms-I’m obsessed with lip balms
-travel card
-make up bag-with a few necessary cosmetics, like Laura Mercier pressed powder, Bodyshop mascara, 2 lipsticks-red and melon one, eye roll cream and Vaseline
-2 mobiles/BlackBerry- one for work the other for my private use
Summing up, my bag says that I must be a bit disorganized, well prepared for any occasion, predictable although spontaneous and maybe a little bit trendy hard working lady in her 20s ;)!

And now I'm sure you can guess what I am going to ask you about!

What 's in your bag Dears???
Have a great rest of the week, xxx

Navy in the park

Hi My Darlings,
I’m sorry for being so quiet for so long but I’ve been really busy at work the last couple of weeks and had little or no time to catch up on things, including my blog.
At that moment I am working on a few personal projects, which include my 30-th birthday which happens very soonJ and  this will also be a day of our 5th anniversary (by our I mean mine and my fiancé) plus there is one or two work projects which I also dedicate lots of my personal time to.
Like almost every weekend, today as well, I felt like I needed to take a break from my planning and organizing and just to detach myself from all that thinking stuff and that’s why I went for a long walk to Holland Park , close to Portobello Road the place I had my last photo shoot taken in but also very close to Notting Hill –places that I already had a chance to introduce to you guys in my past posts. If you have not been in London yet or you plan to visit I will recommend you to have a short break in Holland Park  which is very popular and liked place by most but also here you can stumble on some celebrities as the area is very popular amongst them and many of them live around. Unfortunately, today I haven’t been lucky to spot one but you never know who will be there the next timeJ
Anyway, when it comes to my appearance-I’m wearing my new navy jeans which I decided to get myself after noticing how little I have of this color in my wardrobe. Matched them with the long-sleeved t-shirt in the same color but I added the  red slim belt and red necklace to break a bit the coldness of the dark navy shade. To warm it all up even more I did put on my lovely brown boots again and the waistcoat fur-another bargain purchase from H&M.  I hope you like this combination. Maybe not very innovative but comfortable and safe for a short break in the park.
Now, forgive me but I have to go back to my preparations for another long and packed with meetings and deadlines week. What about you Dears-any serious plans for coming week?

Portobello Sunday

Hi Dears,
I hope you are all well.
I would like to thank you all for such a great feedback to my previous post and all wishes regarding my event. All went absolutely great! You should have seen all these kids being so happy and excited about the whole rafting experience at the Olympic venue! So rewarding seeing them playing and smiling! There were obviously small cock ups with the weather at that day but in the end all in all it was a huge success.
I didn’t have a proper time to recover over the week after this event and only now I feel like I’m slowly charging back my batteries.  I had a pleasant lady time with my girl-friend on Saturday and today together with my beloved one we drove to Portobello area, very spontaneously, just to hang out, walk around the market and all the vintage shops there. If you don’t know yet, it is very vibrant and trendy part of London where you can dress any way you like and no one will turn its head to look. What else I can say, I absolutely adore this place, love the diversity of cultures, people and languages on the streets and the different way it looks every time I go there. The small vintage boutiques, art cafes where you can hear people speaking pretty much any language you could imagine.BDW, did you know guys that you can here around 300 foreign languages here in London. Isn’t it amazing? Portobello is a place where I will be definitely coming over and over again for shopping, for coffee or simply to look how different cultures are living in such a great symbiosis. Especially that it is only 15 minutes drive from the place I live inJ.Days and places like this always remind me how much I love London and still how much yet there is to discover.

On the trunk

Hi my fashonista gangJ
Hope you had/have fabulous weekend!
This weekend was or actually still is ;) all about relaxing and doing absolutely nothing. I'm running very important charity event for disabled kids on Tuesday and for that reason I need to be fully charged at that day. Being the events coordinator I am the one who is usually responsible for the success or failure of such events. Coordinating large, outdoor event with celebrities and high level VIP guests is rather exhausting and I usually feel like I need months of rest afterwards;)! I am not going to lie to you -I’m a bit stressed even though it is still two days to go but at the same time I'm really excited and can't wait for the day to come!
I was also doing small pre-planning to our wedding, in my head of course. Although it is going to be small family reception with the closest trustworthy family members only, it still gives me a headache when I think of the right venue, right band and obviously about the most- perfect creation for that day! I can't sell you any of my thoughts and ideas of that day as yet, but can tell you that the picture is slowly taking shape. I promise that I will dedicate at least one or two posts here  to share my ideas with you my sweeties because I always value your comments and your advice means a lot to me and I'm sure I will need your help to make the final decisions.
All right, enough talking! Lets write a few words about my outfit here. I reckon you've worked out where the title of this post comes from so I'm not explaining this to you.
As to the outfit, this whole weekend the weather here was unsurprisingly rather grey and miserable. Not much sunshine on the sky. So when I eventually decided to come out from my place I thought that It will be reasonable to match the colors of my outfit with what's out there in the air.
Grey poncho with bit bluish shade, doesn't look like it could keep you warm today but surprisingly It felt ok with a little bit of help from the long sleeve top underneath. Very comfy and casual. Matched it with grey jeans from Top Shop and the ankle boots (also grey) and I must say that it was all in all rather good choice for today. Ohh... almost forgot about the necklace I got myself yesterday when doing food shopping ;). It looked so cute on the shelf that I couldn't resist. And the price was so tempting! Spent whole £2.50. Half price bargain ;). That's what we all like the most! Aren't we :) ?!!!!
Cheers and to the next one!
xoxoxo

Windsor in colour

Hello again my lovely friendsJ!
As promised in my previous blog here are a few photos from my last weekend trip to Windsor but in colour this time. I am not going to bore you and this time I am not writing any story with this post. This post is purely to show you how different the pattern on my dress looks in true colour, how chestnut boots work with the dress and also how the colour makes huge difference to the accessories I am wearing here on these photos.
As usual, I am awaiting your feedback and thank you in advance for all your comments.
Have a pleasant rest of the week and hopefully see you again at the coming weekend.
xoxo

The Princess in Windsor ;)

Hello Dears!
Hope you all like the latest fresh look of my blog inspired by autumn and the autumn trends! Please let me know what you reckon and whether you like it or notJ
I was preparing to launch this autumn blog design  for the last couple of weeks by trying out new ideas and by collecting bits and pieces to put them eventually all together. Black and white photos from my latest shoot are intentional and were carefully planned to come together with this autumn-like layout.
This session took place in Windsor town which is widely known here in the UK as the site of Windsor Castle (shown on some of the photos). The castle is one of the official residences of the British Royal Family and one of three favorite homes of the Queen. I was very impressed by the grand of the castle, its beauty and the richness. The castle is surrounded by beautiful gardens and vast park. It took me over two hours to see most of it,  however I would have to stay there for months to truly appreciate its beauty. The spirit of history was  absolutely everywhere I went to out there. I could probably write pages about it but I’d rather share with you a few of hundreds photos we took there. Although I am publishing this post in black and white version I will also like you to see my outfits there in color so please expect the color version to follow next.
Few words about the outfit. My vintage-like dress is intentional choice for this trip as I wanted to respect the hundred years of great English history but also to feel a bit like  ‘The princess in the castle ;).  Adding the suede leather boots that I’ve already had a pleasure to present to you in one of my previous posts was careful choice and was like mixing the old look with the more modern one.
This whole trip was made to welcome the autumn, to spend little bit time with her and to show her that I’m ready for her to settle here for this next few coming months.
Have a wonderful week everybodyJ and let me know what you think.
